Position Summary
The Applications Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of a portfolio of internal and customer-facing business applications. This role partners closely with internal users, IT leadership, and engineers to ensure applications are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. In addition to supporting internal users, this role will help maintain and troubleshoot applications that directly impact the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain a suite of business applications, including both internal systems and customer-facing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, ERP, internal tools).
  • Support customer-facing application workflows to ensure reliability, usability, and a positive customer experience.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, recommend improvements, and implement enhancements or new functionality.
  • Monitor application performance and availability; identify issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions with vendors or internal technical teams.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 application support for end users and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
  • Manage application lifecycles including upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and feature rollouts.
  • Maintain user access, roles, permissions, and security controls in alignment with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation covering system configurations, operating procedures, and support processes.
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to support operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Assist with application integrations, data flows, and testing efforts across systems.
  • Participate in new application evaluations, implementations, and post-launch support.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Experience administering enterprise or SaaS business applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose application and data issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing application configurations, permissions, and user access.
  • Ability to support both internal users and customer-facing systems with professionalism and urgency.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting cloud-based and SaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with application integrations and APIs.
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (e.g., NodeJS, Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience working in environments with customer-facing applications or platforms.
