Paint Line Worker
This position requires the application of powder coating to parts, assemblies, and completed units. The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
· Works to follow established procedures or written and verbal instructions
· Sets up spraying equipment by selecting proper nozzle and adjusting to insure uniform surface covering
· Uses accepted spraying technique to prevent over-spray and loss of paint
· Prepares surfaces by cleaning, if necessary, prior to applying coating
· Must perform all work in accordance with all safety procedures
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Critical Skills & Knowledge
· Regular attendance is essential
· Technical/analytical focus
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
· Deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
· Understand fundamental flow of shop material and its problems or material handling
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
